Nervous time at the Thomas & Mack – Wink hurt
UNLV guard Wink Adams left Tuesday night’s game with Southern Utah in the first half with a right leg injury.
Adams collapsed to the ground under the Southern Utah basket with 10:30 left in the half and appeared to be in a lot of pain, rolling back and forth while being comforted by head trainer Dave Tomchek. After a couple of minutes, Adams had to be helped off the floor by both Tomchek and assistant trainer Rocky Rutledge. He was dragging his right leg. It was unclear whether he had injured his ankle or knee.
UNLV held a slim 22-18 lead with 7:57 left in the half.
